At Rise Up Restaurants, we believe leadership isn’t just developed inside our restaurants, it’s proven through action in the communities we serve.
On a recent Friday in Southwest San Antonio, more than 40 team members from both Wingstop and Pizza Patrón came together to demonstrate exactly what that looks like. Partnering with Habitat for Humanity, our teams volunteered their time to help complete housing projects that will soon become homes for two deserving families.
This wasn’t about showing up for a photo opportunity.
It was about rolling up our sleeves, getting our hands dirty, and making a real impact in the community that lifts us up every single day.

The Work That Matters
Our teams spent the day laying landscaping and assisting with water retention systems around the driveways of the future homes, essential work that helps protect the property and prepare it for the families who will soon live there.
It was hard work.
It was hot.
And our people attacked it with the same energy, focus, and drive they bring to our restaurants every day.
Habitat for Humanity leaders shared that our volunteers were some of the fastest and hardest-working groups they’ve hosted, finishing the job with hours to spare.
That’s what happens when you bring together champions who know how to execute under pressure and work as one team.

More Than Just Labor
When the work was done, the day didn’t end with tools being packed away.
Instead, our team gathered to welcome the two homeowners, celebrating the milestone with Rise Up shirts, coupons for both Wingstop and Pizza Patrón, and a pizza party to mark the beginning of their new chapter.
Because this wasn’t just about building houses.
It was about building community.
It was about showing up for the people who show up for us.

Why We Do This
We’ve always believed in finding meaningful ways to give back to the communities that build us up.
Southwest San Antonio is home to many of our team members, our guests, and our future champions. When we invest in this community, we’re investing in the people who make Rise Up Restaurants possible.
This is what People, Pride & Passion looks like beyond our restaurants.
This is legacy work.
This is what it means to rise together.

A Movement Built on Action
Our champions show up and do the work.
Whether it’s serving guests in our kitchens, leading teams in our restaurants, or helping families build their futures, our people bring the same championship mindset wherever they go.
To the 40+ champions who gave their Friday to make this happen: thank you.
You represented everything we stand for.
You showed what it truly means to rise together.
And to the two families who will soon call these houses home: welcome to the neighborhood. We’re honored to have played a small part in your journey.
